The Green Battle

The Green Battle within our school walls is more than a campaign—it’s a collective journey where students, teachers, and parents unite to safeguard the environment. Every morning, hallways echo with the clink of reusable water bottles as everyone commits to slashing plastic waste. We’ve replaced single-use plastic straws with bamboo alternatives, and we diligently switch off lights and fans when classrooms are empty. Our transition from traditional bulbs to energy-efficient LEDs has already cut down our electricity usage remarkably. Beyond conserving resources, each homeroom takes responsibility for a plant pot or a garden plot, nurturing seedlings from sprout to bloom and enriching our campus with vibrant greenery. Creativity flourishes in our “Re-Craft” competition, where discarded materials are transformed into decorative pieces, planters, or playful creations, showcasing the ingenuity and environmental awareness of our students. The annual Eco Day Festival brings together poster and short-film exhibitions alongside guest lectures from eco-experts, inspiring fresh ideas and deepening our understanding of sustainability. Our Green Patrol Squad, composed of dedicated student volunteers, patrols the halls each day, gently reminding peers to sort waste correctly and conserve water, ensuring the ethos of the Green Battle permeates every corner of the school. This initiative does more than change habits; it forges a stronger community spirit and spreads eco-consciousness far beyond campus borders.
